Summer in the City
Summer in the city has been HOT. While I’ve been away from blogging, I have been LIVING in dresses! It’s too hot to wear nearly anything else. This dress in particular has become one of my faves. I love the kelly green, the eyelet lace and the flowy feel. Looks pulled together belted and easy-peasy on it’s own. This was a perfect addition to my summer collection (especially since it’s nice and loose so there is some room for a growing belly!). It’s funny how I’m currently looking at my clothes….like…..how far will you stretch!
Our summer thus far has included lazy brunches, BBQ’ing in Prospect Park, a lot of meals at the Park Slope Ale House and street fairs! My kind of summer fun!
Two things here. With the first point I will stay on topic, that belt has been a wardrobe work horse! It seems to go with everything I own! I got it a few summers ago at my biz partner’s shop. I love when something turns out to be such a great investment! Second, boy are we grateful to have registered for that old fashioned fan because the small window A/C in our back room doesn’t really cool the bedroom area quite as much as we had hoped and this fan is really saving our night times!
These shoes were another great investment. I can walk all over this big city in these babies! They have a little bit of cushion under the arch (which is just NOW beginning to wear thin and they are approaching the three year mark). Corso Como makes a pretty great shoe.
And can I tell you what I have going on this evening? It’s going to be the highlight of our week. We have tickets to see Beach House & The National at Prospect Park. We are stoked and I can’t wait to share some summer concert duds and pics from the event!!
Enjoy the week!
