Everyday Chic: Rainy Day Blues
It’s been rainy here in NYC for the past two days. Not a constant downpour but just grey mist. If I could stay in bed all day and watch the rest of BSG (yes, that is correct, BSG), I’d be quite content. But, the thought of trekking out in it for the day’s tasks is less than exciting.
However, I have decided I’m going to have a good day anyways. It is my choice in how to respond, right? So, I choose to be excited for they day. And really, I have so many reasons to choose happiness, it’s hard not to. I get to travel back to Ohio to see my family this week. My brother has finished renovating his house and I’ll get to be there for all of the final touches! I get to drive back to NJ to see my Mother’s family with her for a night. And, I get to have my Mom out here in Brooklyn for the weekend. So, like I said, nothing but good things on the docket for this week!!!
So, here is what I’m planning to wear today (my items might not be exact, but you’ll get the picture) to keep my spirits high! A little extra warmth on top & some extra lip gloss go a long way in keeping me smiling!
Grey Turtleneck - This one is James Perse via Net-A-Porter for $74.

A wrap sweater over top (mine has shorter sleeves but is similar to this coloring and style). This is Shae via Revolve for $140.

A chunky necklace on top (mine has some black, gold and green pieces). This one is also lovely. It’s Kate Spade via Nordstrom for $245.

Black Skinnies. Here is a pair from JBrand for $165.

And, it is raining. So I’ll be donning my Hunter Boots in green. Here they are for $105 via Asos.

Casual. Comfortable. Warm. Chic. Done!
Happy Monday all!
Hope you all have as good a week as I’m planning to!!
XoXo
