Everyday Chic: It’s Friday!!
Well, happy Friday to you all. This week has been a busy one. My biz partner and I have been hard at work planning some awesome NYC shopping tours and we have found some great summer goodies! As a result, I haven’t done as much on-line dreaming lately. So, today, let me share some of the trends from spring/summer that I for one am loving and of course, a couple of options for you.
1. Army Jackets - I love this look over a cute summer dress, with a tee and boyfriend jeans or khakis and of course, over some stripes.
J Crew has a cute bomber style jacket for $128.
Also love this G1 Jacket via Calypso for $225.
2. Summer Dresses - Aren’t summer dresses the best part? It’s warm out and they are so wearable!! Love so many different varieties - cotton, silk printed, shifts…..I love them all!
This is a Theory dress via Shopbop for $275. I love this because it looks great with flip flops for running around while looking put together (and really, could this be an easier look?) and you can throw on a blazer and heels and Friday attire! It’s a sure thing and will get loads of wear!
And yes, for posterity sake, one more Yumi Kim dress. I can’t help it gals, this dress is $171 and it is so pretty and easy. We’ve done a lot of shopping this week and let me tell you, this is a great value…..it’s silk!

Another easy and wearable summer frock. Love it! Shoshanna via Shopbop for $319. These dresses fit like a dream!
3. Chambray. I love it in all it’s glorious forms!
If I had a corporate job right now, these pants would be mine and I would wear them everyday. These pants are SHARP! And they look insanely glamourous in person! They are $295 from ADAM, and worth every penny I might add!
Steven Alan skirt for $168. If you get this skirt, you must go to the ocean….quickly!
And, let’s be honest, this fabric was meant to be a shirt dress. Seriously this is cute!! Tory Burch via Bloomingdales for $275.
4. Prints…..with interesting details. I love when pieces have just enough visual interest to make them really spectacular. Here are a few I think are so well done.
This Rachel Comey dress via Otte is just what I’m talking about. Interesting print - Check. Ruche-ing - Check. Buttons (you’ll see, I like these kind of buttons) - check! $375.
This Lauren Moffatt top is on my dream list. It’s $280 and so sweet. I wish I could find a better pic, but this still shows the lovely print. There are buttons that are off center and you can fold down the top part…so sweet. Paired here with a skirt, I think it would so cute with some skinnies!
>And so for now, that is what I’m loving. Quite a few expensive pieces in this list, but they are also pieces that would really get a work out in a spring/summer/fall wardrobe!
Happy weekend all!
XoXo
M
