Everyday Chic: A Little Rock ‘N Roll

Another beautiful day in the neighborhood. Man, could I get used to this weather. Last night, my husband’s band, The Royal Chains played a show at Piano’s. They typically play a rock set (2 piece with drums + guitar), but last night they played acoustic. Loved it! Low key room, easy crowd and they sounded amazing. They played with a band called The Danvilles who are also pretty awesome. They play a more blues-ey set and they will both play again next Monday at The Studio at Webster Hall for No Cover Monday - what a great reason to come out on a Monday night!! It will be a Merrifield Records party for sure!!

Oh, and at 7pm last night it was still warm, so I got to wear a dress.

Today I played with my images and added some text, so this post will be set up a little differently. What do we thinK? You like?

Full Length

Yesterday was a good day. In addition to a great show, time with friends and lovely weather (I know, does it really get better? Yes, yes it does!), I got to eat dinner at Piano’s. Amazing burger and crispy, crispy fries with DIPPING SAUCES. I really do love dipping sauces. Oh, and all of that was $7! In NY, that is a real steal friends! And a reason to get excited!

I’ve got quite a few Yumi Kim pieces in the collection. I like this one because it’s a little sweet (read: ruffles) and a little rock ‘n roll (read: zipper). Super comfortable and it works in any season. You should totally check out the spring collection, I’m dying to get my hands on one of the new prints!!

And, these shoes are just HOT! Don’t you agree? Super high heel & lace up details make me **SWOON**!!! I actually, changed the shoes at the last minute to a hot pink pair, but still, love these guys. These are Cynthia Vincent. I’m totally smitten with her wedges (actually with the entire spring line) but I can’t justify $350 for wedges right now. I am going to try and get my hands on a pair from her Target collection, but does anyone have any other wedge suggestions?

You should also know that The Royal Chains covered November Rain last night and managed to make it their own. Need I say more? I know you will all be out to see what outrageously fun cover is planned for next Monday’s show!

Happy day all!!
