Everyday Chic: I’m Back….

It feels like I’ve been away from the blog for much too long, but, I’m happy to say….I’m BACK!! Last week was sort of crazy and I had a lot of things going on, this week will likely be more of the same but I’m planning to be more diligent about finding the time to blog each day. We have some fun evening plans this week (a Royal Chains Show, a fundraising Birthday Bash & a trip to Nashville!!) which means I’ll be out with the hubby (i.e. good pics) and likely be dressed up in my spring duds (the weather is supposed to get up to 73 today).

We had a low key holiday here. Dan had a late afternoon practice and then, since it was still 74 degrees outside, we decided to take an evening stroll and hit up the Park Slope Ale House. Which, I quite like on a warm night.

Once we got back from our stroll, we did what we always do…..gave Cooper a belly rub!! I’ve never met an animal that likes a belly rub as much as Cooper. As soon as we walk in the door he is pawing at us and rolling over onto his back in anticipation of the scratch and rub he knows is on the way!!

Where: Easter Sunday in Park Slope - Park Slope Ale House

Inspiration: The necklace Dan gave me on my birthday is made of  some pastel pink beads and looks like candy to me. Since it was Easter…..it seemed appropriate to mix this in. However, I also knew it would be low key, so I got to wear it more casually, which I really like.

Outfit:

Jeans - AG via Anthropologie - Best summertime jeans (ankle length & light weight)

Tee - Gap

Cardi - Splendid via Anthropologie

Necklace - JCrew (bday gift from hubby)

Wedges - Dumond via Verve**

**Question readers - What do you think of these wedges? I’ve had them for several summers but I never seem to wear so much of them and I can’t seem to put my finger on why. They are rather comfy. Cute or not so much?

Also, I feel compelled to let you know I’ve lifted the shopping ban. One month of no shopping was about as much as I’m really interested in. I have done inventory on the wardrobe, researched items I would like to add and still plan to shop with intent, however, I don’t plan to wait until May any longer. No will power?  Yes, maybe that is true. Those of you who know me, know me, likely are not surprised.

Happy week all!

XoXo
